Gen. Muhoozi Kainerugaba national Task Force Elected

At least 63 executive members of the Gen. MK Army National Task Force have been confirmed in an election organisers equated to when Pope Francis ascended to the papacy.

MK is short for Muhoozi Kainerugaba, the former commander land forces and Special forces command.

The taskforce will mobilise and consolidate support for the general countrywide through the political journey of Gen MK.

The elections took place at the Uganda Museum grounds, Kampala on Friday, November 11, 2022.

Thousands of delegates who traveled from boarder to boarder thronged the Museum from all regions to elect the leaders who will mobilise for the general at every level.

This was the first free and fair election Uganda has witnessed in decades, a cording to the director of communication, Frank Gashumba.

” You can only compare it to the election of Pope Francis,” he said.

The task force is comprised of 63 members. Victoria University Vice chancellor Dr Muganga was elected the coordinator for tertiary institutions while prominent lawyer also the chairperson of the Kampala District Land Board Dr David Balondemu was elected the coordinator for Eastern Region. MP Lilian Abber was elected the Acholi region coordinator. MP Ayo Tony will coordinate Lango, MP Adume Francis will coordinate Karamoja region and Margret Muhanga will oversee Tooro-Rwenzori.

The new Director of communication Mr. Frank Gashumba said Gen. MK should “our next President when Mr. Museveni retires. He is our Standby Generator.”

The national taskforce chairman Hon Michael Maranga Mawanda said Gen MK is revered for his potential and acclaimed capabilities in defense matters.

“He has all what it takes to be the next President Uganda,”Maranga said
