Nakawa Magistrates Court has released three people suspected to have participated in ADF rebel activities and the murder of AIGP Andrew Kaweesi. The five suspects who included Ali Mugoya, Sinani Hibwangi, Abdul Kala, Ahmed Ssenfuka and Umaru Maganda
appeared before grade one Magistrate Noah Ssajjabi were read new cases of participating in a rebel group Allied Democratic Forces with Its bases in Democratic Republic of Congo . Through thier lawyer Anthony Wameli,the five applied for bail but prosecutor challenged thier release on the grounds that they would join other remaining rebels in Western districts of Uganda and DRC to distablize the peace of civilians. But later Magistrate Noah Ssajjabi granted each suspect Shs 2 million in cash while their sureties were each requested to pay Shs 500 million non cash.
Suspects Ahmed Ssenfuka, Abdul Kala and Umaru Maganda were released while Ali Mugoya and Sinani Hibwangi sent back to Luzira after presenting unsuitable sureties. They were also given conditions that they are to report to the District Police Commanders in the area of their residences on every Friday The case has been adjourned to January 23, 2017.
