All set for NAM and G77 China Summit

At least 135 countries will attend the Non-Aligned Movement Summit (NAM) and the Third South Summit organized under the Group of 77 and China (G77 and China).

Under the theme, ‘Leaving No One Behind, the summit will discuss issues to do with trade, investment, sustainable development, climate change, poverty eradication and digital economy.

Over 168 delegations will attend the 5-day meeting which will take place at the Commonwealth Resort Munyonyo in Kampala beginning of January 15, 2024.

The National Information Technology Authority – Uganda (NITA-U) has successfully installed the latest infrastructure to ease communication during the upcoming summit.

This week, Uganda successfully hosted the Conference of Speakers and Presiding Officers of the Commonwealth (CSPOC) at Munyonyo.

Kananura Michael, the Traffic Police spokesperson has asked the public to prepare for traffic disruptions at Entebbe road especially in Munyonyo during the NAM summit.
