Among holds talks with Singapore Speaker!
The Speaker of Parliament of Uganda the Rt Hon Annet Anita Among has held talks with the Singaporean Speaker the Rt Hon Seah Kian Peng where a number of issues of mutual interest were discussed.
According to Among, Singapore continues to be an inspirational country for emerging economies, and our Parliaments should deepen ties with anticipated dividends on tourism and trade in mind.
Among said that Uganda’s fruits and dairy industry products could supply Singapore.
She added that Uganda needs to explore technological exchanges for the mutual benefits of our two countries.
“I agree with him that commonwealth parliaments should collaborate despite differences in value systems, and differences in opinion should be negotiated with mutual respect to allow member states to focus on the bigger picture, which is the economic prosperity of the commonwealth” Speaker Among said.
