Among & Tayebwa tour Common Wealth Resort ahead of NAM conference!

The Speaker of Parliament the Rt Hon Anita Among and her Deputy Thomas Tayebwa have today visited Common Wealth Resort Hotel ahead of the Non Allied Movement Summit, Speakers and Presiding Officers Conference that are going to take place at this Hotel in January 2024.

The Hotel is constructing a conference hall and other facilities which are expected to be ready by January.

Parliament allocated 37 billion in the recent Supplimentary Budget to I cater for this hotel and the Speaker was doing part of her monitoring work to see what the money allocated is doing.

The Speaker and her Deputy were among others accompanied by MPs Hon Abdu Katuntu (Bugweri County) and Hon Panadol (Iganga Municipality) was received by businessman Shudir Rupereria the proprietor of the said hotel!

The said hotel is going to host three powerful conferences in the month of January and February and it’s construction is very critical for the economy!
