The homes of NUP President Robert Kyagulanyi Ssentamu, Lord Mayor Erias Lukwago and the Coordinator for the United Forces of Change (UFC) Dr. Kizza Besigye have been surrounded by military personnels.

This comes a day after the UFC announced to hold protests today to portray deplorable state of the roads.

Kyagulanyi released a minute-long video calling on his supporters to plant a tree or banana in every pothole around the city as the only way to wake up those supposed to fix them.

At Lukwago’s home, there was truck loaded with banana suckers suspected for the planned activity.

He also noted that this is a good opportunity to do so when Uganda is hosting several delegates for the Non-Aligned Movement (NAM) and G77+China Summits taking place a Speke Resort Convention Center in Munyonyo-Kampala.

The Police warned the public not to adhere to Kyagulanyi’s directives to his supporters saying they are illegal and that anyone involved, will be arrested.
