Seasoned journalist and Senior Presidential Advisor on media Joseph Tamale Mirundi has breathed his last in Kampala.
Mirundi has been receiving treatment from Kisubi Hospital in Kampala and has been in and out of hospitals for a couple of months battling several illnesses including high blood pressure.
Mirundi served as a Presidential Press Secretary for President Museveni for 13 years and by the time of his death, he was serving as a Senior Presidential Advisor on media although he always joked that he had never reported to office since he accused what he called mafias for fighting and blackmailing him.
Mirundi is known for fighting mafias and corrupt officials who steal public money.
His death was announced by close family members who were treating him in hospital
