The First son Gen Muhoozi Kainerugaba who is also the Chief of Defence Forces has paid a visit to the bedridden Buhweju County MP Francis Mwijukye at Aga Khan Hospital in Nairobi.

According to our sources, Gen Muhoozi made a contribution of 12,000 equivalent to 40 million Uganda shillings towards the treatment of Hon Mwijukye.

Mwijukye has been bedridden since May 2024 when he was cut on the head by machete wielding goons who were sponsored by land grabbers led by Frank Kamugisha and his son Edwin Burimbare who have grabbed land belonging to Rwanyamabale Catholic Church in Buhweju District.

Mwijukye who was later evacuated by police after the incident has since been hospitalized and is currently receiving treatment at Aga Khan Hospital in Nairobi where he was referred by Nakasero Hospital for specialized treatment.

According to our sources in Nairobi Hospital, Gen Muhoozi condemned the attack and promised to follow up the matter to ensure that there is no more land grabbing in Buhweju District.

Mwijukye is still admitted at Aga Khan Hospital receiving treatment.

It’s not clear what type of relationship Hon Mwijukye has with the first son. In 2017, it’s said that the first son also visited Mwijukye’s late father in the hospital at Kampala Medical Chambers hospital on Buganda Road.

Mwijukye is a well-known critic of government since his university days
