People with disabilities in Kamwenge district are set to benefit Forty Five Million Uganda shillings which will soon be disbursed to nine groups.
This has been revealed today by Madam Birungi Prime Senior Community Development Officer Kamwenge during group validation exercise by Ministry of Gender Labour & Social Development at the District Council Chambers.
In her Communication, Madam Opio Christine Official from Ministry pf Gender Labor and Social Development assured the participants that the funds are to be released with in June 2024. She further appealed to them to use the funds for the intended projects.
The function was also attended by Hon. Karungi Joseph District chairperson, Hon Ngazoire David & Hon. Kesiime Peace male & Female representatives for people with disabilities respectively.
In his Communication, the District chairperson Hon. Karungi Joseph appealed to participants to invest the funds profitably to ensure consistency in household income.
