The Criminal Division of the High Court has fixed s July 2nd 2024 to hear evidence against a 54 year old widow Molly Katanga and her two daughters in murder of their family’s patron Henry Katanga.
The trial date has been set this morning by Justice Isaac Muwata as he met the Katanga’s lawyers and the DPP in a closed door meeting .
Prosecution states that Businessman Henry Katanga was shot dead by his wife on 2nd / November 2023 at thier home on Chwa 11 Road in Kampala.
His two daughters ; Patrica Kakwanzi and Martha Nkwazi are charged with destroying valuable evidence that they Prosecution would use to prove their father’s murder while the family’s shamba George Amanyire and a male nurse Charles Otai are charged with being accessories after the murder .
The four were bailed out last month while Molly Katanga ; the widow is still held on remand at Luzira women’s prison .
However the same Judge has fixed to hear her bail application on April 3rd 2024.
