The Lira City Town Clerk, Theophilus Tibihika has died in a road accident along the Lira- Apac high way. Tibihika met his death on Monday morning when his Toyota Hilux double cabin pickup number UAM 450V overturned several times along the Lira- Apac road in Akalo in Kole District.
According to witnesses Tibihika was driving at a terrific speed when his car lost control and overturned several times leading to the fatal accident. He was heading to Kampala for official duties. The body of the deceased has been taken to Lira City mortuary as Police carries out investigations. Tibihika served in Fortportal City as a City Clerk and before he had served as Kasese Municipality Town Clerk.
The Lira residents led by the City Mayor Sam Atul said they will greatly miss Tibihika because he was a very committed civil servant who was dedicated to his job. The local leaders of Kasese also say Tibihika was their pillar who besides serving in Kasese Municipality is their own born and has been participating in the local development initiatives.
