Members of Parliament are tired of the unending probe into the conduct of the Mityana Municipality MP Hon Francis Zaake.
MPs are wondering why the Rules & Discipline Committee does not throw out the cases regarding Zaake for want of prosecution like the case is with in courts of law, because on several occasions, meetings have flopped.
Busiro East MP Hon Medard Lubega Ssegona says that cases against his colleague are baseless and should not waste the Committee’s time.
“Elsewhere, where I work, when the State loses interest over a matter, they withdraw and you cannot hold hostage people forever. Considering my schedule that you kindly appreciate, I will only give this attempt one chance to appear, beyond that, please do not waste ink.” stressed Ssegona.
His Majiya County colleague, Hon John Baptist Nambeshe called out the Rules Committee for its selective summons issued to the witnesses, wondering why he is not appearing alongside Deputy Speaker, Thomas Tayebwa who was presiding over the sitting at the fated day.
Zaake has on several occasions been summoned over his conduct which the Parliament deemed unfit.
