The Opposition whip in Parliament the Hon Nambeshe John Baptist has scoffed at those alleging that MPs have been given 100 million bribe saying that there is no such money.
Nambeshe was responding to a tweet by one of the activists who was demanding explanation from Nambeshe and opposition MPs.
“To set the record straight, no Mp has received the alleged 100m shs” Nambeshe tweeted!
He added that if any MP got any bribe it would be upto that MP! “of course, any Opposition Mp that accepts to be bribed is not different from gov’t thieves that we keep castigating” Nambeshe tweeted!
Nambeshe emphasized the need for self accountability saying “self-accountability occurs when a leader is accountable to him/herself without anyone else to observe, monitor, or hold him/her responsible” Nambeshe said!
There has been negative propaganda against Parliament led by the NUP leader Robert Kyagulanyi claiming that the MPs received money which MPs condemned. Now that Nambeshe has cleared air that no MP has received the money just like his boss the Speaker it has cleared air about this unfounded allegations
