Museveni hails Helen Seku for pushing the gospel of Patriotism!

President Museveni has hailed the head of National Secretariat for Patriotism Corps Helen Seku for rejuvenating the patriotism efforts.

Museveni made the remarks while closing a two week patriotism course attended by 413 head teachers from Secondary Schools in Western Uganda, Mubende and Kasanda Distract that was held at the National Leadership Institute (NALI) in Kyankwanzi District that was organized by Helen Seku as a way of instilling the spirit of patriotism among the head teachers.

Museveni who was accompanied by the first lady Janet Kataha Museveni, in his message reiterated the NRM’s message of socio- economic transformation which he said would lead to increment in remuneration of public servants!

“This leads us to an important question: Without socio-economic transformation, how can the state afford to pay decent salaries? From where would the money come?” Museveni asked!

Museveni said that socio-economic transformation within families leads to job creation and income generation, thereby enabling individuals to pay taxes.

The two week event was owned by the Vice President Maj Jesca Alupo and closed by the President of Uganda Yoweri Kaguta Museveni. On her part Helen Seku thanked the President and the First Lady for honoring her invitation and coming to speak to the head teacher
