Njeru farm controversy, Parliament directs Prime Minister

The Deputy Speaker of Parliament Rt Hon Thomas Tayebwa has directed the Prime Minister & the Leader of Government Business in Parliament the Rt Hon Robinah Nabbanja to report to Parliament in regards to the controversy surrounding Njeru Stock Farm in Buikwe District.

Tayebwa made the directive during a Plenary session that was held on 25th Jan 2024 as he gave his communication to the house.

For a couple of weeks, news has been circulating that the Minister for Internal Affairs Gen Kahinda Otafiire took over Njeru Stock Farm in Buikwe District forcing the soldiers who were guarding the said farm out of the place.

The Prime Minister has been given two weeks to report back to the House on the progress made and why this controversy has not been sorted.

The controversy between Njeru Stock Farm and Kahinda Otafiire has been on for a couple of years and Ugandans are wondering why this hasn’t been delt with.
