Pastor Remanded Over Construction of Buildings in Wetland

A born -again pastor has been sent on remand at Luzira prison for depositing soil in a wetland and erecting structures without an assessment impact report from NEMA.

Pastor Milton Twehangane has appeared before the Utilities and standards court at Buganda Road and denied four counts related to failure to undertake an Environmental Assessment impact .

He appeared before chief magistrate Gladys Kamasanyu.

Court heard that on 19th/ October 2023 at Bukasa Veteran zone in Kirinya – Wakiso district, Pastor Twehangane was found constructing permanent buildings in a wetland.

He returns to court on the 8th/ April for hearing .
