The Public Service Ministry needs Sh7.2b to buy brand new luxurious cars for former leaders.

As part of their emoluments, former leaders like Hon Edward Ssekandi (Former Vice President), Prime Ministers Ruhakana Rugunda and Amama Mbabazi are entitled to brand new SUVs every five years.

Recently, Parliament handed over brand new luxurious SUVs to former Speakers and Deputy Speakers of Parliament.

There was mixed reactions in the public with many people saying that the Government was not getting its priorities right.
