The Permanent Secretary Ministry of Finance and also Secretary to the Treasury Ramathan Ggoobi has blocked Muhimbise George, a Kampala based political analyst and critique for asking him an embarrassing question on his X account.
Ramathan Ggoobi who was a known critique of the NRM financial policies until he was appointed to the powerful position of the PSST was complaining in regards to the conduct of the referee in the Liverpool vs Manchester United game that was player last weekend whom he accused taking decision he wasn’t sure of!
However Muhimbise George one of the known critical writers hit back at Ggoobi reminding him of how he used to condemn Supplimentary budgets before joining the government but now is preparing them in trillions!
“these English referees are Simply a disgrace, why do they think they should get more emotional than the players? How can you send off a player by booking him twice for dissent”? Ggoobi tweeted!
Muhimbise George hit back at him reminding him of his own behavior after joining government, ” it’s always different when you are in the pitch than when you are outside. Just imagine how you preached against Supplimentary budgets, now you are preparing them in trillions” posted Muhimbise!
Ggoobi out of anger after reading reactions from people decided to block Muhimbise George for embarrassing him.
Ramathan Ggoobi used to be very critical of government spending in Supplimentary Budgets which he said distorted the budget. He came with high hopes promising to bring economics that work but unfortunately nothing has worked!
