A section of the roads in Masaka City have been paralyzed by both traffic and supporters of the first son General Muhoozi Kainerugaba.
Muhoozi the Chairman of Patriotic League Uganda is today expected at Masaka Liberation Square where thousands of his supported have already gathered to welcome him.
However , eyewitness reporters have observed that most of the roads especially the High ways in Masaka town are paralyzed by hundreds of people along the ways who are waiting for him. As they wait, the joyful supporters are dancing cultural dances with the Eastern drums of Kadodi dominating. There have been stopovers along the Road leading to Masaka starting from Lukaya where big numbers of people are gathered to welcome him. Throughout those stages , the Patriotic League of Uganda movement officials are distributing materials branded General Muhoozi Kainerugaba or in support of PLU. These materials include T-shirts, capes , flags among others.
In the meantime, the PLU Vice Chairperson for Central Region Frank Gashumba together with his Western Region Counterpart Balaam Barugahara Ateenyi , the head of Mobilization for Masaka Region Haruna Kasolo and other Top Central Executive Committee Members such as Toyota Nuwagira and Michael Katungi have already arrived at Lukaya to welcome the General in a colorful moment.
The security is also very tight by both Uganda People’s Defence Forces -UPDF including the Special Forces Command -SFC, and polices’ Counter Terrorism officers.
Muhoozi Kainerugaba is expected to Stand for Presidency in 2026 so as to replace his father President Yoweri Kaguta Museveni.
