The country woke up to the good news regarding the Speaker of Parliament Annet Anita Among and Budiope MP and FUFA President Eng Moses Magogo who have given birth to twins.
The good news were announced by the Deputy Speaker of Parliament Rt Hon Thomas Tayebwa through his Twitter account today morning.
Speaker Among has been on maternity leave for a couple of months and her Deputy has been Chairing Parliament sessions and other administrative work of Parliament.
The news were received with excitement from many Ugandans congratulating Among for being a true African woman!
The Prime Minister of Uganda Rt Hon Robinah Nabbanja also joined Ugandans to congratulate the Speaker for giving the country a bundle of joy, “allow me to join all Ugandans to celebrate and congratulate my sister, the Rt. Hon Speaker Nalongo Anita Among and thank her for giving my grand son Hon Magogo another great name Salongo. Congratulations, May God bless you and our new babies”, Nabbanja tweeted.
Among the MPs and political leaders congratulated the speaker included Kasanda MP David Kabanda, Ministers Diana Mutasingwa, Peter Ogwang, MPs Lilian Aber among others.
