The Speaker of Parliament Rt Hon Anita Among has promised to meet the President of Uganda Gen Yoweri Museveni to discuss the fate of the missing persons that have been demanded by the NUP leaders !
The disclosure came out during a Parliamentary debate on Wednesday 6th Dec 2023 as MPs discussed a rejoinder by the Leader of Opposition Mathias Mpuuga in response to the report tabled by the Minister Gen David Muhoozi.
Speaker Among promised to bring the matter to the attention of the President so that a conclusive solution can be reached at.
Speaker made the commitment emphasizing a need for opposition and government to stop ping pong game of blame games but rather seek to address the challenges at hand, “we are not the ones who started this country and we shall leave it there, so we need to discuss and debate for the good of the country” Among stated!
