Speaker Among visits Ssegirinya in Hospital

The Speaker of Parliament Annet Anita Among has checked on the Hon Muhammed Ssegirinya, the ailing Kawempe North legislator in Kampala.  Among said that Ssegirinya’s health condition was improving and assured the country that he would soon recover. “I am delighted to announce that Ssegirinya has made a remarkable recovery. His strength and determination throughout this challenging period has been truly commendable”  Among said on her X (twitter) account.

Among also appreciated the medical team that is working on Ssegirinya for a good job done, ‘I extend my sincere gratitude to the medical team, and to everyone who has supported him during this time. We look forward to receiving him back to serve his community with renewed energy”

Among has always supported her legislators whenever in need and has expressed and demonstrated the spirit of a parent towards her legialators a gesture that many have commended.

Ssegirinya’s health deteriorated when he was incarcerated  in Kitalya prison in August 2021 over murders in greater Masaka alongside Hon Sewanyana Allan (Makindye East) and the duo have been in and out of hospital with Ssegirinya’s health having deteriorated more.
