Bukedea Teaching Hospital a project that was started by the Speaker of Parliament the Rt Hon Annet Anita Among is set to start operations tomorrow 15th Jan 2024.
This was announced on Sunday by Among as she supervised the last preparatory activities ahead of the official opening scheduled for tomorrow.
“The facility is now ready to offer treatment for both outpatients and inpatients. Starting tomorrow, all normal deliveries will be free of charge and our women will also get free mama kits” Among said in a statement posted on her X account.

She also said that specialised care will be at highly subsidised rates to address the health care needs of our people at the grass root.
Among also urged the staff to be courteous and serve with diligence and respect to the patients.
The facility will also train heath workers of different cadres to adress human resource gaps in the health sector.
