KAMPALA-UGANDA. Regional University students have joined the “Tova ku main” slogan calling President Yoweri Museveni to remain as the sole NRM flag beared for 2022.
The students were on Tuesday convening at Hotel Africana for their
youth issue based discussions.
Gum Beni Machar , a South Sudanese Student used the occasion to order Mr Museveni to stay on as NRM flag beared for 2022.
The Africana meet drew participants from Somali, Nigeria,Mali, joining ng their East African counterparts and well wishers of the East African integration.
Ms. Moriku Kaducu, the Minister of state for Primary Education graced the occasion on behalf of first lady and education minister, Janet Museveni.
Gum, speaking on behalf of other students, mesmerized colleagues with her announcement “President Museveni should be the 2026 candidate.
” President Museveni is fatherly. He is the father of Uganda and East Africa. Let him stay on,”Gum said.
Hadijah Uzeiye Namyalo , the Senior Presidential advisor, Personal Assistant Office of the National Chairman & National coordinator Bazzukulu said she seriously takes that request from South Sudanese Student.
“I will take this order to Jajja as a vote of Confidence which shouldn’t be taken for granted. Jajja Museveni to be back for 2026,” Gum said.
Hadijah stressed that,the integration of East Africa is rooted in the Pan Africanism as a core principle of NRM.She said that regional trade as a Pacasa to the shared destiny and African interdependence, harbours a humanized custom’s union whose main objective is furthering the liberalisation of intra-regional trade in goods, promoting production efficiency in community , enhancing domestic,cross-border & foreign investment without forgetting promoting economic dev’t & industrial diversification for the youth.
Hadijja also cautioned the youth not to be diverted because their tomorrow is now.
Hajat Namyalo is increasingly asserting her grip on the youth who have been problematic to the President. Early this week, she word the Kamwokya ghetto youth to support President Museveni in 2026. In the same week, together with State House comptroller, Namyalo dished shs.170m for youth development.
