The Speakers Conference kicks off, to be opened by Museveni!
The 27th Common Wealth Speakers and Presiding Officers Conference has kicked off today.
The Speakers and Presiding Officers who were donned in their Speakers’ attires arrived at the Conference hall today at the Common Wealth Resort Hotel Munyonyo in Kampala to kick off the meeting.
The agenda of the conference was adopted yesterday evening by the Standing Committee that was chaired by the Speaker of Parliament of Uganda, the Rt Hon Annet Anita Among!
The conference is going to be officially inaugurated by the President of Uganda Gen Yoweri Kaguta Museveni Tibuhaburwa.
The conference will then continue attended by the MPs from Ugandan Parliament and later the Speakers will have a private meeting to discuss how to conduct Parliamentary business and ensure fairness, key among other issues to be discussed include issues of Climate Change
