This afternoon, Parliament is scheduled to hold a plenary sitting and top on the agenda is receiving the National Budget Framework Paper.
It will detail the budget estimates Ministries, Departments and Agencies are proposing and planning for the financial year 2024/2025.
Relatedly, Government is also seeking Parliamentary approval to pre-finance the reconstruction of Masaka-Mutukula Road (89.5Km), the rehabilitation of Nyendo-Villa Maria Road (11Km), upgrading of 3.5Km access road to the UPDF barracks in Masaka, 3.5Km access road to Masaka Industrial Park; and additional scope of 28.5Km for Kikagati-Kafunjo Road all to cost Shs692.680Bn.
Meanwhile, Nakaseke South Member of Parliament Honourable Paulson Luttamaguzi Semakula has denied being among the five ‘noisy and talkative’ Opposition MPs involved in the embezzlement of Sh164b Cooperatives compensation money.
He described the allegations as vulgarity, especially to people who were never involved in the theft.
