American legendary rapper Sean Love Combs better known as P Diddy has settled out of court a rape lawsuit filed against him by his ex-lover Cassandra Ventura alias Cassie just a day after it was filed.

In a joint statement, the two artistes said that they had reached a deal to their “mutual satisfaction” and the lawsuit was dropped.

In a statement released on Friday, Cassie said; “I have decided to resolve this matter amicably on terms that I have some level of control. I want to thank my family, fans and lawyers for their unwavering support.”

In the same regard, Diddy said; “I am very proud of Ms Ventura for having the strength to go public with her lawsuit. She ought to be commended for doing so.”

The hip-hop icon met Cassie around 2005 when she was 19 and he was 37. Diddy signed her to his Bad Boy Records label with a 10-album deal.

The pair dated for more than a decade. She alleged in her lawsuit that over the course of their relationship, Diddy assaulted her multiple times – viciously beating and raping her – and controlled every aspect of her life.

According to the lawsuit, she allegedly faced a cycle of abuse, violence, and sex trafficking until their relationship ended in 2018. Cassie was demanding $30m (UGX113b) from the billionaire singer.

The Father of 7, Diddy is a shrewd businessman whose net worth is valued at over $1b. He is a record producer, singer, Television producer, actor and entrepreneur; his clothing line Sean Jean (Menswear) has grown tremendously since he launched it in 1998.

Cassie married fitness trainer Alex Fine in 2019 with whom they have two daughters.

RnB star Robert Sylvester Kelly alias R Kelly was sentenced to serve 31 years imprisonment for child pornography charges and three charges of enticing a minor; the 56-year old is scheduled for release on December 21, 2045.
