400 rebels killed in fresh Burkina Faso chaos

Burkina Faso leader, Captain Ibrahim Traorè, has warned the forces that tried to seize part of his territory to back off or ‘face the fire’.

At least 3,000 armed rebels riding on motorbikes and military trucks were seen heading towards the capital, Ouagadougou, but were intercepted by the government forces and over 400 lost their lives.

The youngest President (35) in the world who took power in January last year (2022) after ousting interim President Paul-Henri Sandaogo Damiba has gained a lot of popularity due to his pro-citizen policies.

He has teamed up with fellow military leaders from Mali and Niger who equally came to power through coups and the three countries are planning to establish a united airlines.

Political analysts believe the new group attempting to seize power from Traorè is being funded, trained and organized by the French government whose interests in the region are well established.

The three countries of Burkina Faso, Mali and Niger are doing everything possible under their new leadership to do away with French influence which they accuse of deterring their economic progress.

In July this year, Niger’s President Mohamed Bazoum was ousted by Presidential Guard commander General Abdourahamane Tchiani in a military coup.

France threatened to attack the military junta and restore the leadership of President Bazoum but Burkina Faso’s President Traorè asserted that any attack on Niger will be a direct attack on Burkina Faso, the same statement was echoed by Mali’s President.
