Speaker Anita Among attends requiem mass for the fallen FUFA Vice President

The Speaker of Parliament Rt Hon Annet Anita Among has joined the country and the sports fraternity for a requiem mass for the fallen 2nd Vice President of FUFA Darius Mugoye at Namirembe Cathedral in Kampala. The requleum mass was led by the Arch Bishop of the Church of Uganda the Most Rev Dr Steven Kazimba Mugalu on Wednesday morning.

The Speaker was accompanied by her husband Hon Eng Moses Magogo who is the FUFA President and who was a close ally and associate of the late Darius.

The Speaker also  on Tuesday 7th Nov 2023 joined the mourners at the FUFA house in Kampala to pay tribute to the departed FUFA 2nd Vice President. Among hailed Mugoye for being an independent thinker who used his intellect to promote sports. She also hailed him for his effort to bring the AFCON 2027 to the East Africa which unfortunately he has died without witnessing.

Speaker Among yesterday while signing the condolence book at FUFA House

Darius died yesterday at Mengo Hospital in Kampala. Besides being a FUFA second Vice President, Darius was also an educationist and proprietor of St Mary’s new hope school in Nabweru and a former Head Teacher of St Johns Kazo School. He will be laid to rest at his ancestral home in Sheema District on Thursday.
