Kabanda revealed plans to petition the United States and British governments to prevail over Israel such that indiscriminate killing of Palestinian civilians in Gaza ends.

“The government is silent yet there are Ugandans trapped in the conflict which has now claimed over 10,000 lives many of whom are civilians who include children, women and the elderly,” she stressed.

She called upon all Ugandans regardless of their religious affiliations to join the rest of the ‘right thinking people to condemn in the strongest terms the actions of Israel’.

“We call upon the people of Uganda to join the rest of the right thinking people of the world to condemn the ongoing genocide in Palestine,” she said.

Kabanda added that While Israel propaganda has for years played the religious card; pitting Muslims against Jews and other non-Muslims, the world has finally seen through it and is speaking with one voice-the voice of humanity.

Kabanda wants the American and British governments to persuade Israel and accept a cease-fire to save the lives of the innocent civilians and allow humanitarian organizations to provide relief to the civilians who are dying of hunger and injuries caused by the conflict.
