Speaker of Parliament the Rt Hon Anita Annet Among has assured the incoming Leader of Opposition in Parliament Joel Ssenyonyi of her full support.
Among’s assurance was contained in her congratulatory message to Joel Ssenyonyi after being appointed Leader of Opposition in Parliament on Friday afternoon.
“I congratulate the Hon. Joel Ssenyonyi, Leader of the Opposition in Parliament – designate, on your appointment. I look forward to working with you, and may you achieve remarkable success during your tenure” the message reads in part.
Ssenyonyi has replaced Mathias Mpuuga who has held the office since 2021. Mpuuga was appointed Commissioner replacing Zaake Francis!
