The 27th Common Wealth Speakers and Presiding Officers that was held at Common Wealth Resort Hotel Munyonyo has confirmed India as the host of the next conference which will take place in 2026.
The Deputy Chairman of the Rajya Sabha, the upper house of the Indian Parliament, Harivansh Narayan Singh, said the forum will provide an opportunity for delegates to positively impact lives of citizens in the Commonwealth. “It will be a moment of pride for India and the people of India are ready to showcase their diverse culture. We look forward to welcoming all of you to India,” he said.
This conference was started in 1969 after being initiated by the then Speaker of Canada
