Police offers Sh20m for Bugingo assailants information, SID takes over

Police has appealed to the general public particularly anyone with information that could lead to the arrest of suspects who attempted to murder Pastor Aloysius Bugingo and murdered his bodyguard Richard Muhumuza.

Speaking at the weekly press briefing at the Police Headquarters in Naguru, the Police Spokesperson Fred Enanga, said that Police will offer a prize of Sh20m to any member of public who will provide credible information leading to the arrest of the assailants and the killer weapon used.

Enanga warned the public posting nonsensical information about the murder on social saying the law will catch up with them.

According to Police, the killer weapon (a pistol) is the same weapon that was used to murder blogger Isma Olaxes alias Jjaja Iculi last year in Kyanja.

Enanga revealed that both Forensic and Ballistic reports have been retrieved and that the Criminal Investigations Department (CID) Kibuli specifically the Special Investigations Division (SID) has taken over the investigations.
