Ugandan Judge Julia Sebutinde is receiving all sorts of lashes from Africa and the Middle East for what many have described as ‘siding with the wrong side (Israel)’ .
Sebutinde, the first African woman to sit on the International Court of Justice (ICJ), voted against all the provisional measures South Africa sought against Israel.
South Africa dragged Israel to ICJ seeking an order to immediately stop Israel war against Palestine which has led to the death of more than 26,000 Palestinians who include children, women and the elderly.
South Africa alleged that Israel has violated the 1948 Convention on the Prevention and Punishment of the Crime of Genocide; which was drawn up in the aftermath of World War II and the Holocaust.
Several people across Africa and the Middle East have attacked Sebutinde with some labeling her as a ‘traitor’.
