The Speaker of Parliament Rt Hon Anita Among has gifted a family that gave birth to triplets with 10 million.
The said family was introduced to the Speaker by former Ethic and Integrity Minister Dr Miria Matembe at Parliament this week.
The parents of the triplets Kalema Bashir and Kayaga Sophia were unable to take care of the triplets which led them to approach Miria Matembe for help who took them to the Speaker for help.
“I made new friends today! I want to thank Mama Miria Matembe for introducing me to the family of Mr. Kalema Bashir and Mrs Kayaga Sophia who were recently blessed with triplets. We thank Allah for protecting the little ones and we pray that the He grants the Parents the grace to nurture them” said Among after receiving them.
Anita Among handed them 10 million shillings cash to go and start a business to take care of the kids. She also advised them to embrace family planning so that they don’t produce kids they can’t manage.
The two couples were excited to receive this support from the Speaker and promised to make good use of the money to develop themselves.
