Members of Parliament have decried continued deaths of maternal mothers while giving birth. The MPs made the remarks during a Parliament session on Thursday afternoon.
The Napak District Woman MP, Hon. Faith Nakut informed the House that her constituents have put her on notice that they will hold a demonstration over the increasing deaths of mothers in Moroto Hospital.
Also Hon. Medard Sseggona wondered how expectant mothers can get to hospitals in time for delivery when there are no ambulances.
This followed a statement by Health State Minister, Hon. Anifa Kawooya that mothers in Moroto maybe dying because they get to hospitals late.
Issues of maternal and mortality deaths have continued to become a challenge to the country and through this debate or is hoped that a lasting solution will be put in place
