KCCA cleaners storm Parliament over 6 months arrears!

The cleaners of Kampala Capital City Authority who clean the city roads have stormed Kampala Parliament demanding their payment for the last 6 months!

These cleaners majority of whom are women have been demanding for their arrears for the last six months and KCCA has failed to pay them without giving any reason.

The Speaker of Parliament Annet Anita Among accompanied by Members of Parliament from Kampala City calmed them down and promised that Parliament would work on their issue.

She also summoned a meeting of authorities of KCCA together with the MPs from Kampala to discuss their issue on Tuesday next week.

The same issue was discussed in Parliament yesterday and MPs led by Francis Mwijukye wondered why these women haven’t been paid despite what they go through and the services they render to the country.
