Honourable Twaha Kagabo has said that the National Unity Platform (NUP) is not ready to lead the country given the manner the party handles issues.
The Bukoto South MP blamed his party for mishandling the matter of the former Leader of Opposition in Parliament (LOP) Rt. Hon. Mathias Mpuuga.
“NUP leadership has mishandled Mathias Mpuuga’s issue and clearly this shows the party is not ready to take the leadership of this country. Mpuuga’s matter should have been kept private,” Kagabo told journalists.
He went on to say that NUP must put in place mechanisms of handling matters and must be sincere in fighting corruption.
This comes a day after the party advised Mpuuga to step down as Parliamentary Commissioner for receiving Sh500m from Parliament as a ‘Service Award’ which the party claim is a bribe.
