Luuka District RDC suspended for beating up a car washer!

The Permanent Secretary Office of the President Yunus Kakande has issued a letter suspending the Luuka Resident District Commissioner Waiswa Paul Bweni Bwamwiko over a video circulating on social media in which he beat up a one Kisige Abdullah a car washer at one of the local car washing bays.

“Following a complaint from Kisige Abdullah alleging physical assault on him, Management has considered this criminal matter which should be handled by Police. However, this act brings the public service into disrepute while in violation or contrary to Uganda Public Service standing orders, In respect to the above, I hereby suspend you from duty as Deputy Resident District Commissioner, Luuka District” the letter reads apart!

The RDC was asked to handover office and government vehicle and any other government property in his possession except his office ID. He was also asked to write his defence in regards to the allegations levelled against him and also show cause why he should not be taken to the Rewards and Sanction Commitee of the office of the President
