A  Tik-toker Ibrahim Musana commonly known as Pressure 24/7 has complained to Buganda Road Chief Magistrates Court that the Uganda Prisons Authority recently extracted samples of blood from his body to carryout medical tests without his consent.

Pressure 24/7 who is facing charges of hate speech made the revelation today through his lawyers when he reappeared before Chief Magistrate Ronald Kayizzi to be informed on the progress of investigations into the case against him.

Prosecution states that between August 2023 and February 2024 in areas of Kampala district, while using a computer via his tik-tok account, Pressure 24 Seven shared information which is likely to degrade or demean and promote hostility against four leaders including the Kabaka Ronald Muwenda Mutebi 2, President Museveni, Speaker of Parliament  Annet Anita Among and State Minister for Information Communication Technology – ICT  Joyce Nabbosa Ssebugwawo.

One of the lawyers representing him, Gideon Masamba, told the court that their client had been subjected to extracting his blood samples from Luzira prison where he is on remand.

He added that Pressure 27/7 was taken to prison hospital and subjected to treatment which he does not understand.

As such, Masamba asked court that such actions should be done in the presence of his lawyers.   Court also heard that the medical tests were carried out after three weeks on remand.

This prompted the Chief Magistrate to inquire from Pressure 24/7 whether he is sick or not to which he answered in the negative.

Upon inquiring from the prison authorities, the court heard that it is a requirement for all new prisoners to undergo medical tests to avoid spread of diseases like tuberculosis among others.

Prosecution’s State Attorney Ivan Kyazze told court that since inquiries are almost complete and asked for 14 days as to when they will be complete.

Pressure was further remanded until 11th April 2024.

His troubles started when Buganda Kingdom officials reported a case of ridiculing the Kabaka to police.
