Breaking News! PLU’s Micheal Mawanda to sleep in coolers! 

Igara West MP Micheal Mawanda who also doubles as the Chairman of the Patriotic League of Uganda disciplinary Committee as well as Director of Mobilisation is going to sleep in coolers tonight at Nateete Police Station.

This follows Mawanda’s appearance at Kibuli Police CID Headquarters for interrogation over his role in embezzling of Cooperatives compensation money.

Mawanda was summoned on Monday by police and he appeared today only to be netted.

MP David Kabanda (Kasambya County) and former Minister Mary Karoro Okurut tried to secure police bond for Mawanda but in vain and police sent him to the coolers so that he can learn a lesson.

Mawanda was involved in a scandal where 164 billion was swindled. Mawanda has been part of a racket of Members of Parliament who have been involved in corruption. He was also in 2013 arrested for attempting to cone an Indian Investor alongside Former Minister Isaac Musumba
