Museveni Orders Gen Nalweyiso to Investigate Namyalo for Trafficking Students

President Yoweri Kaguta Museveni has ordered General Proscovia Nalweyiso to take lead in the investigations into cases of trafficking students to Iran for fake scholarships by ONC Manager Hajjat Hadijah Namyalo.

According to sources, Museveni yesterday held a meeting with all the staff of State House including those under different Units under the Presidency.

However, that shortly after addressing them, His Excellency Museveni asked his staff if they had any questions or concerns to raise to him.

Sources say that one of the Staff who works closely with Namyalo reported to the President that Namyalo had turned the office of the National Chairman of NRM in Kyambogo-ONC  into a recruitment agency where students are being defrauded of cash   in exchange of  bogus scholarships.

Sources privy to the meeting added that this kind of revelation was welcomed with lots of cheers, clapping and praises in support to the accusations of trafficking unsuspecting students to Tehran.

Consequently,   Museveni asked the ONC Staff to repeat what he had said for him to hear properly w.

The illegalities of Namyalo were repeated to the President with emphasis that the students were trafficked in January 2024 , hence directing General Proscovia Nalweyiso to investigate the her heinous crimes.

The president described the human trafficking accusations as a top security matter that ought not to be left without probe.

If found guilty of student trafficking Namyalo can be sentenced to life imprisonment according to the Prevention of Trafficking in Persons (PTIP) Act 2009.
