According to reliable information, unidentified organizers have been circulating placards urging people to gather on all Kampala streets on Tuesday, July 23, 2024. However, details regarding the time of commencement and other organizational aspects remain unclear.

The police have expressed concerns about the lack of transparency and potential for disorder associated with the planned demonstration. In a statement, the police emphasized their commitment to maintaining public order and warned against any attempts to incite violence or create chaos through uncontrolled demonstrations.

While acknowledging the right to peaceful protest, the Uganda Police Force underscored that they will not tolerate any actions aimed at disturbing public order. They urged individuals wishing to exercise their right to assembly and demonstration to collaborate with the police to prevent any attempts by individuals with ulterior motives from hijacking these events for criminal purposes.
