As the rift between the first son and CDF Gen Muhoozi Kainerugaba and his brother in law Odrek Rwabwogo deepens, a war of words has continued to rock social media spaces which has heightened tensions within the first family.

This hullabaloo started when first son Gen Muhoozi Kainerugaba posted on his X account accusing his brother in law Odrek Rwabwogo of being the number one thief in Uganda. Rwabwogo who marry’s Muhoozi young sister Patience Rwabwogo. In the tweet Muhoozi was accusing his father for arresting Hon Micheal Mawanda the MP for Igara East who is facing charges of corruption while at the same time Museveni posing for photos with his son in law Odrek Rwabwogo who he called a thief. “Muzee, you arrested my friend Michael Mawanda and you are comfortable taking pictures with the biggest thief in Uganda” Muhoozi tweeted.

After the siad tweet, a group of supporters who referred to themselves as disciples of Odrek Rwabwogo hit back at Gen Muhoozi condemning him by calling him a coward.

“The utterances of Gen Muhoozi Kainerugaba are emotive outbursts of chronic envy, the operative force of hate, the maloveront object of fear and above all is a project of intrigue enforced by an irrational forward suffering from extreme sense of entitlement”

This has drawn comments from all over with supporters of both camps hitting at one another. Hon David Kabanda who is also a fanatic supporter of Gen Muhoozi who is known for speaking recklessly also swang into action to attack Rwabwogo and team. “You can not win an election in your village and you go ahead to draft a letter and then claim you have disciples?

If it wasn’t for marriage some of you would be on bimeeza. When men are talking just sit down & listen. You have nothing to offer” posted Kabanda on his twitter page.

It has always been said in the corridors of power that Gen Muhoozi does not see eye to eye with his brother-in-law Odrek Rwabwogo. Sources say that Janet Museveni favors Rwabwogo for President as opposed to Gen Muhoozi while Gen Museveni supports Muhoozi Kainerugaba to take over from him
