The Programs coordinator of the Presidential Zonal tours Ms Hellen Seku has applauded President Museveni for establishing poverty eradication initiatives like the Parish Development Model, Emyooga, Four-acre model to all Ugandans with the aim of increasing household incomes.
She said that such initiatives have had a substantial impact on the communities, bringing hope and tangible benefits to many households across the country.
” I am happy that the people in Sebei sub region immensely participated in the program and the region is full of beneficiaries but most importantly, the individuals got a chance to interact and hear from the chief wealth creator himself,”But also I want to thank the President for loving all Ugandans because he doesn’t want to leave any one behind; that is the reason as to why he is on ground himself to hear from people’s experiences which stories have inspired multitudes.” Said Seku.

Seku, who is also the Commissioner of the National Secretariat for Patriotism Corps (NSPC) in the office of the President, made the remarks at the climax of the Sebei region tour last week.
She explained that the program is seriously transforming Uganda’s rural economy as it addresses poverty at the grassroots level.
” Such initiatives are really a game changer when it comes to poverty eradication and I’m proud about how the President himself is passionately fighting poverty with the aim of seeing families and communities involved in the money economy but with ekibaaro(calculation).”
” We want to make sure that every household is able to pay school fees for the children, be able to produce what to eat because for us in Patriotism, we believe in hardwork and our prayer says that everyone is supposed to work for at least two hours before any meal.” She added.
She further highlighted that the Parish Development Model, in particular, has empowered local farmers and entrepreneurs to elevate their businesses by providing them with necessary resources and training.

The Four Acre Model has encouraged sustainable agricultural practices by promoting efficient land use, ensuring food security while increasing crop yields. The enthusiastic adoption of these initiatives in the Sebei sub-region, according to Seku, is a testament to the commitment and innovative spirit of its people, who have not only embraced these programs but also demonstrated their resilience and willingness to transform their lives.
Seku asserted that maintaining an ongoing dialogue with local populations allows the government to better understand their needs and adapt strategies to achieve the overarching goal of nationwide poverty reduction.
