Kimanya Kabonero legislator Abed Wanaka has vowed to demand accountability from the National Unity Platform.

While speaking on Sunday at NBS Eagle program Abed Bwanika said he is about to demand for accountability saying that the National Unity Platform receives a lot of money from donors, himself as a registrator and other Members of Parliament and also from government and said that there is no accountability from this for this money.

“I want to raise accountability issues. NUP received UGX 4.1 billion from the government last year. I contribute up to UGX 13 million to NUP every year, and we receive money from abroad. We need accountability for these funds” said Bwanika.

On whether he would not be disciplined for asking such questions, Bwanika said that his questions are legitmate and should be answered.

“I did not enter an empire; I am in a political party, and the party has to answer my questions” vowed Bwanika!

He also said that he was among the mentors of Bobi Wine and therefore he has a stake in yhe party.

“I am among the people who spent a year preparing Robert Kyagulanyi for the presidential election. I have a stake in NUP, I won’t leave it and I need answers” said Bwanika.

He also accused the NUP secretary Lewis Lubongoya of being a state agent who was planted in the Party.

“Through my research, I discovered that David Lewis Rubongoya was sent to the opposition to ensure its growth is hindered” said Bwanika
