Five Suspects Remanded Over Murder of Ndiga Clan Leader

Five people accused of murdering Eng Daniel Bbosa, the head of the Ndiga clan appearing before Court.

Five People including the Secretary to the Kisekwa Cultural Court of Buganda; Milly Naluwenda have been remanded to Luzira prison on charges of murdering the Ndiga clan head Engineer Daniel Kakendo Bbosa.

Eng Bbosa  the proprietor of Transa- Bbosa Electricals was gunned down in his car  on the evening of  February 25th 2024  as he approached his home at Kikandwa in Lungujja Rubaga division.

Immediately after the gruesome murder, residents pursued the two assailants who were riding on a motor-cycle until they caught up with them and lynched one.

The surviving suspect Lujja was rescued by police and admitted to Mulago hospital to receive treatment and await formal charging.

Further police investigations also yielded and resulted into the arrest of other suspects including the Kisekwa court secretary; Milly Naluwenda who was arrested a week ago.

Other suspects  include ; a  21year old  masion  of Kabanga Village in Mpigi Noah Lujja ,   Harriet Nakiguli ; a peasant of Nkere corner zone  in Kawempe division , a 46 year old Carpeter of Gala Mpigi District Joseph Nakabale and Ezra Mayanja of Kawempe division.

The group has been driven to Mwanga 11 court this morning amidst tight security and appeared before Senior Principal Grade One magistrate Adams Byarugaba to face murder charges.

The magistrate has however informed the 5 that he has no jurisdiction to either hear their case or entertain their bail because murder is handled by the High court. They have been sent on remand at Luzira prison for a full month until 11th/ April amidst shedding tears and comfort from their relatives.

The Court’s resident State Attorney Caroline Mpumwire informed court that investigations in this matter are still on-going as police has further intensified the hunt of another prime suspect; Tabula Lujja Bbosa to whom a ten million shillings bounty has been placed.
