The senior presidential advisor for special operations Gen Muhoozi Kainerugaba last week met Mr. Aliko Dangote, the richest man on the African Continent at his home in Lagos, Nigeria.
According to a message released from Gen Kainerugaba’s close confidants, the richest man in Africa who is also the chairman of Dangote group promised to visit Uganda soon where he will exploit business and investment opportunities.
A source from a close ally to Gen Muhoozi who declared anonymity confirmed this information.
“The Senior Presidential Advisor for Special Operations met Mr. Aliko Dangote, chairman of the Dangote Group and the richest man in Africa at his home in Lagos last week. They discussed Mr Dangote’s interest in investing in Uganda.” the source said.
Sources say that Gen Muhoozi shared with Dangote a number of investment opportunities which include energy, mining, tourism, agriculture and ICT among others.
Mr Dangote has an estimated net worth of over $10 billion is and known for his ventures in cement production, sugar refining, and other businesses. His conglomerate, Dangote Group, operates not only in Nigeria but also in several African countries, including Ghana, Ethiopia, and South Africa.
Gen Muhoozi Kainerugaba has for the past two years met several dignitaries in the area of business, military and head of states in various countries which include Egypt, Ethiopia, Kenya, Rwanda, Croatia, Russia, China among others where he has strengthened his ties as he gears to take over the Presidency in 2026
