Yesterday, Gen Muhoozi Kainerugaba, Chairman of the MK Movement, and his wife, Charlotte Muhoozi, graced the fundraising event for Bishops Girls School Rushere at Protea Hotel in Kampala. The goal was to collect at least 900 million Ugandan shillings for the school’s main hall construction.
During the event, Gen Muhoozi emphasized the crucial role of education, particularly for girls, highlighting its significance in shaping the nation’s future. He encouraged attendees not only to support Bishops Girls School Rushere but also extend assistance to other schools in need across the country.
The planned hall aims to provide a conducive environment for student studies and ample space for activities like MDD, prayers, and orientation sessions.
Gen Muhoozi, a 4-star General, has been in the limelight due to his interest in becoming Uganda’s next President after his father, Gen Yoweri Museveni. Beyond his political ambitions, he has actively participated in fundraising activities, contributing 20 million shillings to a church renovation in Mbale earlier this year. Additionally, he has been at the forefront of improving road infrastructure in Kampala, the country’s capital.
