The Commissioner for National Secretariat for Patriotism Corps Ms Hellen Seku and the State Minister for Children and Youth Affairs Hon Dr Balaam Barugahara Ateenyi have arrived at Ntare School in Mbarara City for a pass out ceremony of 830 students. Barugahara is the Chief Guest.
The students who are all from Senior One and Senior Five have been undergoing patriotism training for eight days with different facilitators from the Uganda People’s Defence Forces -UPDF and staff from the Patriotism -Office of the President which is headed by Seku.
Upon Arrival, Ms Seku and Dr Barugahara were given a very warm heroic welcome.

The duo was welcomed by a team of dignitaries including the Headteacher Ntare School Saul Rwampororo, Reverend Jocus Kangume Deputy Headteacher , Reverend Fr Longino Asiimwe the School’s Catholic Chaplain, Chairman Parents Teachers Association Nathan Mugume, Chairman Board of Governors Martin Kananura, Deputy RCC City North Jacqueline Akankunda and the Very Reverend Canon Bob Mwesigye Dean St James Cathedral Ruharo Ankole Diocese.
Hundreds of people including Old Boys of Ntare School, well wishers , Headteacher Kyamate Secondary School and Deputy Headteacher Mbarara High School, politicians and parents have also turned up to witness the pass out function and to pick their respective children later on in the day.

Immediately after arrival , Dr Barugahara and Ms Seku inspected the Parade and Guard of Honour where Senior 5 student Bruno Murungi is the Overall Commander and later, they will award Certificates in Patriotism and Ideological Orientation training to the patriots who have been commissioned today.
Ntare School in its History has so far produced two Presidents in East Africa; President of the Republic of Rwanda H.E Paul Kagame and the President of Uganda H.E General Yoweri Kaguta Museveni who is the Patron for Patriotism
